“I analyze the spread of fake news and political polarization in Asian countries under the theme of democratic backsliding. In an international project funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science or JSPS, we are working to discover trends of political polarization in the electorate through surveys as well as the development of a system that detects fake information using artificial intelligence.”
