Creating a Safe Society Where People Can Live in Peace

“Criminal justice includes criminal law and criminal policy. The latter looks at how to prevent criminals from committing crimes again and reintegrating them into society from the perspective of legal policy. In particular, I focus on the high rate of recidivism in Japan. I advocate extending the supervision period. I am working to improve criminal policy and victim support systems.”
