Introduction

I am advancing research on conflict and peace from a cultural anthropological perspective. I have been examining questions such as why people participate in violent conflict, what experiences they have on the battlefield, and what activities they continue to engage in to form and maintain peace, based on fieldwork. Recently, I have also been interested in issues of globalization and regional development, as well as the development of African foods.
