Introduction

Born in 1974. He is a professor at the Faculty of Law at Keio University, specializing in legal philosophy. He graduated from the School of Law at the University of Tokyo. After working as Research Fellow at the Faculty of Law, the University of Tokyo, he joined to the Faculty of Law at Nagoya University as Associate Professor. While be promoted to the full professor in 2013, he moved to the current position in October 2015. His publications include 'What is Freedom: The Disappearance of the "Person" in Surveillance Society' (Chikuma Shinsho, 2007), 'Give Me Liverty, or Give Me Happiness: the "Possible Society" in the 21st Century' (Chikuma Selection, 2014), and 'Legal Philosophy' (co-authored, Yuhikaku, 2014).
