The Dynamics of Fact and Truth Seen in History and Literary Arts

「中国古典文学の通俗文芸『三国志演義』を対象とし、版本比較研究、成立史の追究、日中それぞれにおける現代までの受容史を研究。時代・地域を超えた「三国志」の展開を探ることで、歴史的事実に基づく物語に人々が込めた多様な「真実」を探求しています。」
“Looking at the popular literary novel ‘Romance of the Three Kingdom,’ a piece of Chinese classical literature, I conduct comparative studies, pursue the chronology of its creation, and study the history of its acceptance in both China and Japan until modern times. By tracing the development of ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ across era and region, I explore the varied truths added by people in stories based on historical facts.”
