研究者紹介
- マイケル・ラーソンは、慶應義塾大学法学部の助教授であり、アメリカ文学、特にサイエンス・フィクションとユートピア研究を専門としています。2013年には、フルブライト奨学金を受け、日本の東日本大震災とその後の復興活動について研究しました。この研究は、彼のノンフィクション作品『When the Waves Came: Loss, Recovery, and the Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami（2020年）』として結実しました。彼はオハイオ州立大学でMFA（美術学修士）を取得し、ウィスコンシン大学ミルウォーキー校でPhD（博士号）を取得しました。彼のエッセイは『The Iowa Review』、『Los Angeles Review of Books』、『Poetics Today』、『Utopian Studies』などに掲載されています。2020年と2025年には、日本学術振興会からリサーチ・フェローシップを授与されています。
