A Continuing Struggle to Understand Cities and Regions

「ルーツは都市・地域の実態の測定、都市システムの変化を分析する研究でしたが、今では地方創生をキーワードにフィールドワークを通じて地域活性化にも関与。手法は変われど、都市・地域の理解と活性化への関心は一貫しています。」
“My research work started from measuring functional urban regions of Japan and analyzing the changes in Japanese urban systems. Today, I am also involved in regional invigoration through fieldwork based on the theme of regional revitalization. While my research approach has changed, my interest in understanding the reality of cities and regions and regional invigoration remains consistent.”
