One of the key roles of economics is to provide criteria and methodologies for policymaking. As analytical techniques continue to advance, the application of economics in policy implementation is expanding.
This presentation will provide an overview of how economic analysis is used in the field of competition policy. Additionally, by presenting a collaborative study on the Chinese smartphone market that the speaker personally contributed to, the presentation will illustrate the usefulness of microeconomics and econometrics analyses in evaluating competition policy.
