Exploring the History of Humankind in Southwest Asia through the Entanglement with Things

「イラクやオマーンなどで発掘調査を長年行い、農耕牧畜から都市化が進む人類史の重要プロセスを研究しています。特にオマーンでは、環境変動期に強いられた遊動的な暮らしの痕跡を調査し、人とモノとのつながりを解明、当時の社会に迫っています。」
“I have been conducting excavations and surveys for many years in countries such as Iraq and Oman to study the important process in the history of humankind where we moved from farming and pastoralism to urbanization. In particular, at Oman, I study the remains of mobile lifestyles imposed during a period of environmental changes to explain the relationships between humans and things and learn about societies back then.”
