ろう者と聴者が協働する手話言語学ーー
Sign Linguistics with Collaboration of the Deaf and the Hearing

「ろう者のコミュニティで自然発生した手話は世界共通ではありません。この動画で実例をまじえて説明する通り、ろうコミュニティの手話は同じ地域の音声言語と大きく異なる性質を持っています。私は日本手話の文法的・意味的な特徴に興味があり、ろう者と聴者の協働に力を入れた研究を長年続けています。」
“Sign languages emerged naturally in Deaf communities, and are not universal. It will be shown with actual examples that sign language is notably different from the spoken language used in the same area. I am interested in the unique aspects of grammar and meaning in Japanese Sign Language and have been conducting research collaborating with Deaf colleagues .”
