Education Within Culture, Culture Within Education, and the Children Who Grow Up There

「幼児教育が担う役割を、心理学、教育学、文化人類学など分野横断的に研究。国により様々な文化的実践と信念があり、色々な教育実践がなされています。幼稚園教諭の経験による対応の変化にも着目し、日本・中国・アメリカでの共通点と違いを明らかにしています。」
“I study the roles of early childhood education from an interdisciplinary approach spanning fields such as psychology, education, and anthropology. There are various cultural practices and beliefs for each country, and all kinds of educational practices are being implemented. I also look at the changes in responses by preschool teachers based on their experiences, making clear the commonalities and differences between Japan, China, and the United States.”
